MPT Industries Oxygen Compatible Grease

MPT Industries Oxygen Compatible Grease and Pastes

MPT Industries® offers solutions for critical and demanding applications where no flammability, compatibility with oxygen, and resistance to aggressive chemicals are essential. MPT Industries oxygen compatible grease and pastes are approved and used by major industrial gas providers. OC® Products are oxygen-safe and have been tested and certified by The German Federal Institute for Materials Testing (BAM) for gaseous and liquid oxygen service.

OC Three PTFE Paste Joint and Thread Sealer

OC® Three PTFE Paste is a water-based, oxygen-safe PTFE product. It is a homogenous white paste that is anti-corrosive, anti-galling, anti-seize, and water-soluble. It is also chemically-inert, lubricating, non-flammable, non-migrating, non-toxic, and odorless. OC Three is suited for use in temperatures from -400ºF to +500ºF and in mid-vacuum use to 10-3 torr. It can also be used in pressures up to 3500 psi (10,000 psi for fuel systems, 300 psi for natural gas).

A superior PTFE thread sealant paste that seals safely and more effectively than any Teflon® tape, OC Three replaces Teflon tape in any application. It has been approved by NASA and BAM for gaseous and liquid oxygen service.

OC Three is conveniently packaged in a 4 oz. (113.4 gm) tube with easy apply nip and cap.

OC Three is a water based product that is not well suited for wet conditions. For wet conditions, we recommend the use of OC Five, OC Seven or OC Nine.

OC Five Oxygen Compatible Paste

OC® Five Paste is a blended formulation consisting of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) particles and Halocarbon® oil; it is a chemically inert and environmentally safe superior sealant. OC Five is suitable for use in threads, O-rings, stopcocks, and other applications.

OC Five Oxygen Compatible Paste can be used in high pressure (up to 10,000 psi) or high vacuum (10-7 torr) applications where exposure to corrosive gases, pure oxygen, or harsh chemicals is probable. It provides leak-tight sealing in a wide range of vacuum requirements. OC Five provides unique properties over a wide temperature range – from cryogenic through thermally stable to +450oF. It is non-flammable, non-migrating, non-toxic, odorless, and waterproof as well as anti-corrosive, anti-galling, anti-seize, dielectric, and lubricating.

OC Five is cost effective for liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, cryogenic, and vacuum applications to prevent and reduce component equipment failures, maintenance, or downtime.

OC Five is available in 2 oz. (57 gram) and 16 oz. (454 gram) jars with resealable lid for ease of use and storage.

Not recommended for aluminum against aluminum applications. Do not use with concentrated alkalis, fluorine (liquid), or chlorine trifluoride (liquid).
