Dow Corning® High Vacuum Grease is a silicone-based, odorless, translucent white-grey grease suitable for use in sealing and lubricating. A stiff, non-melting silicone material, Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease seals and lubricates valves, bearings, gaskets, O-rings, and vacuum and pressure systems. It has good lubricating and sealing ability, as well as low volatility. Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease is also chemically resistant, and maintains its consistency over a wide temperature range from -40 to 204°C.
Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease is insoluble in water, methanol, ethanol, acetone, glycol, and glycerine. It can be dispersed in kerosene, stoddard solvent, benzene, toluene, ethyl ether, or petroleum ether.
Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease is unaffected by most vegetable and mineral oils, many organic compounds, and most common gases. It is also resistant to most aqueous solutions of inorganic salts and to dilute acids and alkalies. The suitability of this specialty lubricant should always be tested before the material is adopted for regular use.
When stored at or below 20°C in the original unopened containers, this product has a usable life of 60 months from the date of production.
